The day after the Kotel Tefillas
August 11, 2005Hi -
I heard from a bunch of you guys that you watched and davened along with us here at the Kotel. Since I’ve been here and hearing the people talk about the disengagement, I feel alot different. There is NO guarantee that there will be peace. NO concessions have been made on the palestinian side. So we are in affect throwing our own people out of their houses for what….?
I used to think that.. .well… the area isn’t safe for 9,000 jews.. they can be safer elsewhere… but.. now MORE jews will be in danger… the missles will be closer.
I read a pamphelet yesterday at the rally about a story of the wolf and the shepherd. The wolf asks the shepherd for a small lamb because hes hungry.. the shepherd is afraid of the wolf so he agrees. A week later its 2 lambs… a month later … its 2 large lambs… after a few months .. the shepherd says.. I have no more sheep to give you.. so the lamb eats the shepherd…
The feeling I have is the same. More … and more… for what? There is still checkpoints… people in efrat still have to be careful… people in gilo.. etc..
I guess Im in a political mood tonight…
On the home front, we have 90% of the lights working. The A/C is working.
oh, almost forgot, we have a new home phone…011 972 - 2-9924697
Well, thats it for a thursday night.
