Mazel tov!
August 12, 2005A few mazel tovs are in order:
1. The cat the kids were playing around with had kittens…
2. The cabinet guy finally finished putting them up
3. Tamar stopped crying (she’s taking a nap, but We’re counting that..)
4. I found a job. I’ll be working for a guy in Ramat Beit Shemesh as a techical writer. It goes for at least 3 months, probably longer. The money is half way decent. Pretty good for a first job. The saying here is… you take the first one that comes around… get some experience .. learn some hebrew… and move on. So that is what we’ll do.
5. I put aronot together without hurting myself.
In israel that are no closets… the houses are made quickly… so the closets are not included… you have to go to the hardware store and buy medicine cabinets and closets or else you’re living out of boxes…
They are plastic and the pieces are letter coded.. except that the letters in my package didn’t match up to the letters in the instructions.
Shabbos is in three hours and we still have some things to do. .. like study the map where we are having our shabbos meals. One thing about Ramat Beit Shemesh is that the streets are confusing. I just found out after a week, that I was going in a circle to go to shul and take Moshe to Ulpan.. in actuality its 100 feet away… The streets cross and then turn parallel. .. go in a circle…etc. Its like the planners did this on purim.
Well, folks I’m going to wrap things up.. Have a good shabbos and an easy fast, in that order..
