TO haifa… and beyond…
August 17, 2005Went on 2 job interviews.. Microsoft and The place where I “had an in”… Microsoft was in haifa… without getting lost its an hour and 1/2.,.. with getting lost. its 2 hours… oops..
My streak of not getting lost in israel.. ends at one day.
Before the interview I went to the MAll in haifa and bought a map… and a street atlas from 2004… alot cheaper than this years’.
On the way there I listened to the radio and a reporter was in every community in Gush kafif area… Most people are leaving and only a few places are there any holdouts. Neve dekalim which I think is the largest settlement, people are in the shul and aren;t leaving so fast..
The second interview went very well.. They have FREE coffee, cappacino, Fruit, etc…
I think I’m in… . so I may be starting soon…. thank g-d.
Its olny 40 minutes approx from tel aviv to Ramat Beit shemesh…. and there is a train. SO hopefully I can take that more often…
The kids and Penina went with friends of ours to a kibbutz that has swimming. The kagan family are members so it was 21 shekel per person for the kids and Penina. There is no “public pool” near us, so this kibbutz makes their money by selling memberships… swimming weather is may through october… so for 950 shekel the family can go any time… not a bad deal…
Tommorrow I have a GIG at a day camp’s carnival. I think the stilts finally come out of the basement…
I’m starting to put a “chug” together so the summer and the school year.
Because day camps and schools end early and parents are working, they have clubs to entertain the kids.. from karate to English writing (fun, no?). As a way of promoting the balloon business and helping some kids out, I’d trying to put a CHUG together for balloontwisting and bring the kids every month to either a hospital or terror victims. Hopefully, I can find a sponsor either here or in US to help cover costs.. we’ll see.. There is a lady in Rana’na that is interested in having me come up there for an hour.. or so…
Well, I’ve got to do today’s daf…. and yesterday’s I think.
P.S. Korn, thank the guys at the hatzoloh minyan for the shas pod… works great!.. for the gemara too!
