a balloontwister’s aliya saga

Good morning.

Great day so far.. I FINALLY got my wireless router to talk to the DSL…
NOW… my VOIP phone works.. 1-718-775-3836 is my number until the 761 0071 kicks in…

After banging my head… I finally chated with linksys who sent me a tool.. and voila.. wireless…
Looks like I start work on monday or tuesday. THe contract has to be approved.. but looks like I’ll be a technical writer…
Tonight we are eating at home… Excited.. first meal at home in Israel.. SO far …we are NOT having fish.,,, the israeli kind looks weird and the american kind costs more than a car.
I’m heading out to a moshav that sells balloons…. they close at 12 so I have to skedaddle…
Thank you to all those who have emailed me over the past few days… regarding the pictures, posts..etc.
I’m glad most of you are enjoying it… the ones who arent… tough.
The next project are my magnets. The BIG thing here is every person that does anything. Advertises on a fridge magnet. The house doors even have them too. So Im working with people to get a balloon twisting magnet design together… “business cards? Hmmm… thats SO american…. ”
Well, I’m headin out…. balloon and helium time in sapirim… not sure where that is.. but Its a long day…
Oh, one more thing. I got the stove top today, but I had to call the gas company to hook it up. Most places that do this do NOT have english people… to spite us Im sure.
So After a 10 minute conversation with a lady.. I either:
1. Ordered someone to come thursday to hook it up
2. Ordered a ice cream to come to Jay Berkowitz
3. Told them Im not wearing any clothes
We’ll find out who comes to the house to see what I said to this lady.
