Kidding around…
September 12, 2005After getting some feedback, I’ve decided to speak about the kids in this post.
LEt’s start from the top..
Yoni has been getting more acclimated to the social end of things here. After coming home from shul I noticed he was aplying basketball with 2 of his classmates and another boy from the block… who was playing in his socks… don’t ask.. I have no idea.
We found him a tutor who will help him with his homework. There is a boy from accross the street who is 14 I think, will be helping him with homework. A huge problem with all the subjects is the Hebrew. The math isn’t difficult, BUT the questions and instructions are in hebrew. SO tonight we’ll see how it goes.
Michal has been playing with a different girl every night just about. She has been getting phone calls etc. Yesterday she entertained her cousin and friend with her drum playing to the Miami Boys choir CD. She has had a nightly tutor for a week now and is excited about school. She has her own room which converts into a guest room if we get company. As we will be very soon… My aunt and Niece will be here for Succot and we are very excited to see them..
Moshe has been on his bicycle almost every day. He also has 2 friends on the block and also seems to like school despite not knowing what the teacher / rebbi is saying. LAst night he had to read a few pesukim in navi, so the homework hasn’t been that terrible. He seems to enjoy the freedom… He is allowed to bicycle up and down the block in the “street”.. .we live in a cul de sac and there are not many cars that pass by.
Tamar as been going to Gan in the mornings. When Penina ends ulpan she takes her home at approx 1pm, I think. She has her moments, but at times she is clingy and crabby. There are some neighborhood girls that take an interest… but none “take” her out for walks etc… Like the Kenig girls did… Here, everyone has a baby brother or sister. There are 4 to 6 kids in almost every house on the block.
well, I’m going to run off and try to catch the early mincha here at work.
Speak to you all later!
Yudie
