I get a mazal tov..
My cousin Yitzy Fischer had a boy last week and the bris is tommorrow in Kiryat Sanz… For those taking score at home, that is in Jerusalem.
This will be the first cousin of mine that I clearly remember being at HIS bris, making a bris for his son. Ocean Parkway, Yeshiva of Brooklyn old building…
Time flies..
I hear the Israel cousins will be these. Cousin Shmuli who lives in Kiryas Sans. Uncle Arnie from Haifa. Maybe Cousin Eli. Maybe Dovid will want to go so we can go together. Its not difficult to go by bus. THe bus goes to Har Hoftzim and I think its a short cab ride to the shul… I think.
Last night I got caught up at work and had to “sprint” to the train. Its actually a 25 minute walk IF you walk fast… Or else its maybe 35..
I got there in time to spare… I even had time to give a guy the wrong directions to Jabotinsky….
“Rechov Jabotinsky? Ani Chosheiv… Yashaar, Yashaar, vacher cach, simolah…”
I didn’t see him this morning so he must have either gotten there or is lost.
Last night on the train was MY turn to fetch guys for a minyan so I looked up and down for guys with kippas…
Some guy said to me… “perati”,,, which I think meant
1. he davened himself
2. I will daven myself
3. Leave or I’ll spit on you
Either way, I left him.
We DI D get a minyan and we davened and shuckled… as the train swayed…. From Ramle to Beit Shemesh… thats the stop where you have the best chances of getting a minyan. After Beit Shemesh is Jerusalem, last stop… so between ramle and Beit Shemesh stops you have around 12 minutes…
This morning I turned down the music to hear my manager get into an argument about something with somebody. I heard my name a few times… but I don’t think I’m in trouble… This project I’ve been thrown on is behind schedule so I think I’m supposed to work on it..
well, I’m signing off….
I’m not going to mention a certain team in the championship bec. I always jinx them.
I once congradulated Rick Cerrone on his Newark Bears 2-0 lead in the championship series.
OF course they LOST the next 3 in a row.
Same as the Mets this year and Yankees…
