Wesley Crusher to the bridge…

November 7, 2005

Shabbos in Wesley Hills…. nice… very nice..
I can’t believe the colors of the leaves.. sorry if it sounds queenish.. but..
we don’t have trees or leaves like they have here.
I davened for the amud friday night and used a niggun for lecha dodi that no one knew.
I felt. I don;t live here. I could embaress myself, contrary to what my sister said I should NOT do.
Shabbos lunch I walked… and walked… to Milch’s house. A former Dora golding guy, Natan Hecht walked me there. SO turns out there were several CDG’ers I saw over the weekend. Douglas Rosenthal, David Turner, Milch and Hecht.
Looking back I am so grateful that my Father worked at CDG. Wherever I go, I meet forger campmates, campers… its really like a huge family.
At Milch’s house I met Chaim Wolf who told me that a Classmate of mine, Eli Gelb lives nearby and is having a breakfast Sunday Morning to raise money for yeshiva Sha’are chevron.. So instead of going to see eli and paying. I walked .. and walked.. and walked further to see him on Shabbos. He has a very nice house, on a very nice block….with alot of trees..
He STILL owes me 16 boxes of donuts from playing backgammon… almost 20 years ago….
I don’t think I’ll ever see them.
Turns out the menahel from the yeshiva is helping organize the bar mitzvah of my cousin which will take place in Chevron in a few weeks. TO catch the Daf I walked.. and walked.. and walked… from gelb’s house to make it back for the daf at the Bush Shul. After shabbos I hi tailed it to Brooklyn for a balloon gig and see my folks… I was on my way to see my new niece, but it was too late so the visit will have to take place next week.
Esther and dad.. and sister.. .and sister.. and sister… are doing fine.
This morning I went to play football with the boys….
I cant keep up with kalish anymore.. I am only faster than the big guy, kenneth.
DOwn 4-1 we made it all the way back to tie the game until kalish hurt his finger. If anyone has his number, email it to me so I can call him.
Just like old times.. we play until someone gets hurt.
Just like old times the Jets tease us.. and then lose at the end..
Well, that was the shabbos in Wesley hills.. the highlight had to be..
Tammy Braverman’s Roast from Friday night.. WOW… I think I ate half of it..
Well, I’m going to sign out… more SAP fun.
See ya!
