Bon Giorno!

December 1, 2005

They’re heeeeere….
Yup, everyone landed… not so happy … but safely and soundly.
After hearing about the service on alitalia, I doubt my mother in law will have anything to do with Italians.
Italian Bread.
Lasagna.
I bet she won’t drive through Bay Ridge either.
Mama Mia!
Rude people, bad food, NO english speakers…. and that was just on the ride TO the airport….
well, after hearing the stories, it may just be worth it to fly non stop… May be…
The El al non stop was almost double… so…
All in all its good to see everyone.
We’re almost as happy as my Father in law and Gordon, I’m sure.
kidding.
This morning everyone was up nice and early… yay.
Tamar was up at 5:30 as she is in the pack and play because cousin hillel comandeered the crib.
Oy. 9 more days of Tamar getting up at 5:30 I think.
Just came back from a bris. At the bris we saw David Lewin.
David is my sister in law’s father in law (is that english?) who has an apartment that he rents out… (shameless plug)…. which is located in Ramat beit Shemesh (shameless plug)… and is great if you are traveling with a family for a vacation (yet another shameless plug)…. Their doing the kitchen so even though their here for a week, they’ve been on the run. Saw him this morning as he also knows the father, David Solomon.
It was actually a big crowd considering he just made aliya in July.
There was a table designated for the Ulpan friends. Apparently he goes to Ulpan with my brother and a few other fellas.
I was dismayed to hear them conversing in English though.
The speeches were in English too.
I sat next to the guy who at the Sun gardens meeting mentioned that he didn’t want to be part of the va’ad.
I asked him if there were any burning magen dovids on his porch the day after the meeting.
he said no.
And then changed his seat.
Maybe the chair was dirty…..
See ya!
