Well, we were honored to host the most famous staten islander, other than Ralph Branca.
He was nice enough to come over in the AM as to not keep us up late on a weeknight.
Aryeh Pearlman who just released his CD is here getting a distributer.
Pi Shenayim which doesn not refer to going to the bathroom twice, is actually a really good CD.
I bought my copy and listened to it a few times already.
He’s in Israel for 4 days then he heads back to open for Avrohom fried at a concert Sat. night in Queens College.
Oh, the Lichtsheins are in town for Rifky’s Bat Mitzvah.
Penina brought them back from Jerusalem to spend a few hours here.
Its Litchy’s first time in these parts.
He’s been in Israel 20 times and he has only been to: Bnei Brak, the Plaza, and the airport before.
“Tel aviv? Heard of it… is there a hashkamah minyan there?”
I Dragged him to my friends apartment for a shiur and he stayed awake despite being jet lag. Unlike some other fellow who will go unmentioned, due to his close proximity to mine and his ability to pound me into next week.
Litchy did NOT freak out when the host’s wife and the shiur giver’s wife stayed to listen to the shiur.
I’m so proud.
But seriously, its great to see the litchy’s and I even feel bad sending him a bill for the 100 shekel it cost in Gas Money to drive him to the Plaza.
Just a few minutes Penina, My mother in law, rochel (gordon), and all the kids hopped into the car to head to the BIblical Zoo.
As I told my mother in law when she was heading out “Enjoy the animals… and the ones in the cages also.”
Today being tuesday its CHUG day, so the schools let out at 1pm and unlike NY there is NO snow here. Its 70 degrees and sunny.
I think Thursday we may to go Bnei Brak with the Lichtsheins to get a few brachas… we’ll see. Penina wants to go with them to chevron tommorrow.. so we’ll see what the Litchy’s are up to and then try to piggyback on their plans.
well, I’m going to sign off. Gotta get some work done… its so quiet here….
