a balloontwister’s aliya saga

Its Wednesday…. Tommorrow starts the fun. I have to drive to Dayton, then fly to Laguardia, then head over to Kennedy, then fly to Israel, then get a ride to Beit Shemesh… ALL before shabbos… hopefully. Its a long flight.. but the good news is Ican make up the hours on the plane offsite. so its not that bad. I’m not losing any pay by taking the journey home.
Spoke to Penina and the schonfeld FINALLY went on their own today. One more day of fishberg and things sort of go back to normal.
Tommorrow I will be missing the somerstein Bat Mitzvah… So much for a balloon gig in israel that pays dollars. Fortunately I have a SAP gig that pays dollars. Things are going better than I expected so far in COlumbus. I finally got into the apartment yesterday… very nice. Unfortunately, I have to “keep house”. Take out the garbage, wash stuff, vacuum.. I wonder if I can fly the Israeli maid we have to clean things up a bit.
In fact, just last night I did a wash. I think I’m going to try and use liquid detergent instead of throwing a bar of soap next time. Suds were coming out of the machine… well, at least the floor smells and looks clean. I also freaked out when I flipped the switch and the garbage disposal sink thinggee came alive… All in all, its going better than I thought. I’ll see how the family is doing in Israel when I’m there in person this weekend.
