March 1, 2006Well, I got stood up. Kazan didn’t show this morning so I didn’t go to Jerusalem. Did some work instead.
He went up north yesterday so he either stayed or was too tired… in any event. He got mentioned in 2 blogs so he’ll be happy.
Yesterday I took the kids and Yoni’s friend on an interesting hike / tiyul. Apparently there is a hill / mountain near beit Shemesh that has a special flower that is only in bloom for a few weeks of the year, and they are only on this hill… no where else in israel…. I keep forgetting the name of the flower… but.. its blue. The view and scenery is just incredble. Michal took some great pictures. I think she wants to start Akselrud Studios Israel department soon.
So we walked up the hill / mountain hiked around, took some pictures before the kids decided to run down the steep part DOWN the hill. Yoni ran down. Michal ran but tripped a bit. Moshe fell walking… ran about 4 feet.
It was so nice. Walking in the 70 degree sunny weather… taking time to enjoy and appreciate the land. Beats the cold in NY, sorry folks.
There were around 50 people that came as well, including Rabbi Solveichik From RBS who is a rav and is a rebbi at Reishit. There was another mountain to hike, but we decided to skip it as Michal had a chug to attend. I guess sometimes we really SHOULD stop and smell the roses.. or flowers.
Today was another great day. Sunny. 70 degrees I think. Each day is just nicer than the next. Tonight should get a bit exciting though. 2 balloon chuggim. Dinner at the baums.
Simon is in England. Penina is in NY. Calm down, the kids are going as well. Sheesh.
oh, good news.. Yesterday, I did laundry and the detergent I used was NOT bleach. Today I am going to put the clothes away.
