Home…

Whew… back home.

Well, due to the 2 hour delay leaving NY we landed in Israel about 2 hours later than planned… but…. we DID make it. The flight was uneventful… thank g-d. The movies? Well, when you come on the plane after a glass of wine and then you have an absolute and grapefruit, then a lunesta… it doesnt really matter what the movies are… you’re not going to see them. I was out most of the flight.. maybe 7 of the 10 hours. The family greeted me at the gate and made it back home with 2 hours to spare. We had a VERY busy shabbos. Including the 6 from our family we had 14 people friday night, 16 people shabbos lunch, and around 10 for suedat shlishit. Aunt Rozzie and cousin Estie bryk were over for the entire shabbos and I think were a bit overwhelmed by the huge tumult. Non stop action. Kids back and forth. In and out. Tamar with the toilet training….etc. After shabbos the moment havdala was over, they were packed and ready to walk to jerusalem if need be. It was nice having them over. The byrk’s will be in Israel for pesach so before the boys and joel came. Estie and Roz came to us. After havdalah we turned on Friday’s Mets game. Using MLB.TV on the computer moshe, yoni, and I watch a few innings of the Mets game. Mets are in first. Yankees are in last. I’m not going to say anything more bec. last year when the mets were in the race and the yankees were in last… I brought a newspaper clipping to shul and showed the fellas. That sparked the Yankees to turn things around… and make the playoffs so this year I’ll hold it in until the season is over.

There is definately something in the air as pessach rolls around. Kitchens Turning over. Chometz being sold. People planning trips for the kids. WE have alot of stuff already mapped out as we are heading to a hotel for pessach. Not a fancy one, but one that would give the family (especially Penina) a little piece of mind. Being away its been difficult on her so …we’re off to Nes Ammim. I have no idea where that is.. other than “North”.

Tommorrow Yoni has a trip with Nefesh B’nefesh for boys ages 10-13 I think. Its designed to give mothers time to prepare for pessach and let fathers do some work. Sunday is a work day here. I have a project to finish so the few hours will hopefully get the house a bit quieter so I can get some work done.

Well, I’m going to wrap things and get some work.
